CHECKOUT THIS POST ON WHICH COUNTRY IS BETTER TO LIVE CANADA OR AUSTRALIA
Canada has slightly more, being in the G8 with 40 million people, whereas Australia is in the G20 with 25 million people. Most jobs in Canada are in the province of Ontario and most jobs in Australia are in the state of New South Wales. It is possible to get them in smaller cities such as Vancouver and Perth, although there are fewer vacancies but also less competition, so it just evens out accordingly.
They are however equally as challenging to get with several hundred candidates all applying for the same role as common in all countries in the world nowadays. An application lottery in other words.
I think however that Australia is still a better bet, as unlike Canada, you are not ‘constantly distracted by the bright lights south of the border and if you get the AU passport, you can also work in New Zealand. You need to focus on Australia and Australia alone, as opposed to imagining how life would be if you were now in Los Angeles or New York, instead of getting on with your everyday life in Vancouver or Toronto.
Canada however has more restricted mobility than the USA and Mexico, as NAFTA does not have free movement on the same level as the EU and Trans Tasman Agreement unless your profession is on the TN visa list. However, Australians also get more rights and entitlements in New Zealand under Trans Tasman than vice versa, being the larger party to the agreement.
