Migrating abroad can be very exciting, fun, stressful, strange, depressing lonely, and uncomfortable at first which shouldn’t be so if properly oriented. Please note that language, weather, currency, people, culture, and tradition play an important role in your smooth transition process to another country. (Which will be explained better below)
Depending on the country you are migrating to, it can be fun and it can be hard during your first 2 weeks of migration,
HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT HAS HELP ME DURING MY MIGRATION PROCESS
KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE COUNTRY YOU INTEND TO MIGRATE TO
and this includes:
LANGUAGE
It is important to know if the country is an Anglophone, francophone-speaking country, which means it is an English or French country.
WEATHER
Know the precise time for winter, spring, and summer so that you can pack clothes that can suit the weather when traveling so that you don’t get stranded.
CURRENCY
The currency has been used in the country.
CULTURE
Knowing a little bit about the culture will save you a great deal of embarrassment and abomination in another country. E.g. some certain cultures the country does not allow late walking for strangers so you have made your way suit into the accepted cultures and transactions.
Always ask people for directions or clarity if you feel a bit confused.
ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B WHEN MOVING INTO ANOTHER COUNTRY
Plan B will always keep you one step ahead even when plan A fails.
FIND YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY IN THAT AREA–
Finding your local home community in that area will help feel at home, especially with those who have been there before you, they will help you navigate the town and show you where you can get your groceries, stores, etc.
BE FRIENDLY AND OPEN TO LEARN TO LEARN NEW CULTURES AND TRADITIONS OF THE COUNTRY.
Always be open and committed to learning other people’s culture and tradition its one way to make friends in your new country.
GET A JOB
Getting a job is a great source of income and another great way to meet people from the country.
ALWAYS FIND A WAY OF HAVING FUN TRAVELING TO SEVERAL STATES WITHIN THE COUNTRY
