2023-2024 PTDF OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME TO STUDY IN ANY UNIVERSITIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, GERMANY, FRANCE, AND MALAYSIA

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), is currently accepting applications from eligible and interested individuals for its overseas MSc and Ph.D. scholarships under the PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2023–2024. a division of the Federal Government charged with creating indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology to serve the needs of the oil and gas sector.

Value of scholarship: Fully Funded

Eligible Countries: Nigerians

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE

It is recommended that applicants scan and upload the following documents to their online application forms:

1. Statement of Results for the First Degree
2. Results from WAEC, GCE, SSCE, and NECO on an NYSC discharge certificate, as well as PINs on application forms that 3
3. allow PTDF to check O-level results on the pertinent website.
4. Master’s degree certificate Recent passport photo Local government identification letter (Ph.D. Applicants only)
5. proof of membership with professional organizations
6. Academic Transcripts

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTERS

1. a first-degree qualification of at least Second Class Upper (2.1), or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant work experience
   obligated to have performed National Youth Service (NYSC)
2. Applicant must be familiar with computers
3. Applicant must have a minimum of five O/level credits, including English and math.
4. Applicant must have a Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) outlining the motivation(s) behind the proposed study, its applicability to the sector, and its anticipated effects on the growth of the country.
5. Before applying for the scholarship, applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN), and verification will be necessary (NIMC verification fees will apply).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR PH.D.

1. Applicant must be obligated to have performed National Youth Service (NYSC)
2. Applicant must be familiar with computers
3. Applicant must have an excellent second-degree certificate and a first-degree grade of at least Second Class Lower (2.2).
4. Applicant must have a five-page maximum study proposal that is pertinent to the oil and gas sector must contain the following information:
   Title\sIntroduction
   Research Objective
   Research Objectives/Questions
   Scope
   Literature Synthesis Methodology
   Expected results only when required
5. A letter from the vice chancellor stating that the lecturer is not receiving any other scholarships must be produced by all lecturers (if shortlisted)
6. Before applying for the scholarship, applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN), and verification will be necessary (NIMC verification fees will apply).

Please take note of the following Information:

1. The scholarship is for the academic year 2023–2024.
2. Only PTDF partner universities and PTDF partner schools are eligible for the scholarship.
3. Candidates may be excluded from applying to programs not relevant to the oil and gas industry because scholarships will only be offered for courses relevant to PTDF’s mandate.
4. Additionally, the suggested course of study needs to be relevant to earlier research.
5. Multiple applications from a candidate will result in their disqualification.
